Successful TECNO-GAZ & VATECH Exhibition in Italy

Vatech participated in the Expo Dental Meeting exhibition from May 16th-18th, hosted in Rimini, Italy. This event showcased the innovation and culture of the world of dentistry. We interviewed Mr. Young Jung, Sales Manager of the European region, to find out more about this exhibition.

According to Mr. Jung, the trend in the dental industry is moving from 2D to 3D, with 2D demand declining dramatically since 2018. I can feel that the interest in improved workflow is explosive. Particularly, digital scanning, such as the intraoral scanner and desktop scanner, have been major concerns for exhibitors and dealers alike.

Vatech has been working with TECNO-GAZ, in Italy, for nearly 7 years and we are building our own special marketing know-how together. Mr. Jung believe[s]that the Customer DC and dealer networks built by TECNO-GAZ (TG), as an Autoclave business, are the basis of their marketing activities. In addition, a powerful portfolio that supplies almost all the equipment (such as a dental chair, x-ray, sterilizer, etc.) that a dentist needs, is good for persuading the dealer and end-user. There are three strengths that only TG has- the TG store, TG academy, and education for radiologists. When it comes to marketing, TECNO-GAZ runs approximately 20 TG stores. They cooperate with major dealers, and they display our x-ray products and almost all equipment related to the dental industry. The spaces are used for product demonstrations and they also send their own magazine quarterly to customers across Italy, which informs readers about various promotions and educational programs. Regarding x-ray products, they provide online user training to all 3D/2D customers, in cooperation with radiologists. In June 2019, TG will be opening TECNO-GAZ Academia, a highly specialized education program provided by dental industry professionals and TG education experts.

Vatech also interviewed Ms. Morena, Vice President of TECNO-GAZ, for more insight. When asked about noticing any changes with Vatech’s reputation, she stated that We began working with VATECH seven years ago, and we have noticed that Vatech pays more attention to the needs of the market. This is very important, as each market has their own characteristics and exigencies. Vatech has new 3D systems with exclusive characteristics. Compared to many other brands, 3D and Vatech are rather aligned, especially from the technical point of view. Finally, we want to strongly affirm that the joint effort between TECNO-GAZ and Vatech has shown us how consolidated Vatech’s prestigious brand is. We believe that two more years of massive marketing efforts are necessary in order to become a definitive marketing leader.
